Capitola Beach, Santa Cruz, CA - August 20, 2012

James & Heather {Wedding} - July 15th

 

Wedding took place at the Timber Creek Lodge in Roseville, CA.  It's a Golf Course Resort. It had beautiful grounds, but it was a SUPER hot day.  Photographing was a challenge as the grounds were in full sun and Scott (my sweet husband assistant) were melting in the sun.  It was a beautiful wedding and Heather and James are so wonderful to work with.  It was a honor to document the union of two great people.

Solano County Fair - Eye of the Tiger

 I had to take a picture with Maia, the star of the photo! We had people coming up to us and asking all kinds of questions. They were so delighted. One lady called her group over and said, "Look, we get to meet the artist, how lucky are we". It was so much fun watching people take pictures of my picture.

--BEST OF SHOW of all the pictures in the gallery
--OVERALL BEST OF SHOW of ALL the fine artwork in the gallery!!! Seriously, the most prestigious award of the whole fair.

L♥VE the ribbons!

This is how it was displayed. So cool that it was displayed between my friend Sandy Herickson's images. Both of hers won 1st place for the Animal/Plant category. All 3 fit together well because her cat has "Tiger's Eyes" that match Maia's "Eye of the Tiger". So awesome!

Solano County Fair - My Ribbons

 "My Playground" featuring Carissa multiple times, won a 3rd place ribbon for Computer Assisted.

 "New Love" featuring Lundi Munsee and her newborn Mila, won 1st place for Color Portrait.

 "Hooray...I'm 4" featuring Felicity Riley, won Honorable Mention for Color Portrait. 

This image won 1st place at the Dixon May Fair for Children Color Portrait.

"Purple Swirl" featuring a flower from my neighbor's front year, 

won a 3rd place ribbon for Plants & Animals. I wish they would separate the two categories. 

This won 1st place at the Dixon May Fair for Flowers.

 Ok, is this image adorable or what?  I waited patiently with my camera for this one.  

Little Lincoln gets this smile right as he is falling asleep.  It's the most precious thing in the world!

{Lincoln} Newborn ♥

 Lincoln is seriously the cutest baby boy I have ever seen.  

He is so photogenic and he doesn't even know it!

In this hammock image I had two people holding him with one hand underneath and one on top.  Photoshop magic!

 This image is actually as is from the camera with exception of the removal of  a few trees, a house, and a white fence.  This was actually the background in their backyard.  Amazing view in Utah.
